My Story
I'm the tech guy for small businesses that aren't big enough to have one.
My in-laws called me about their hosting renewal: $800, itemized with a security scan they'd never run and a list of add-ons nobody had ever explained to them. I looked at what they actually had, a five-page site getting maybe a dozen visitors a month, moved it to a plain hosting setup, and got the bill down to about $10 a month. Same site, same uptime, none of the padding.
I started asking other small business owners what they were paying for their sites. The $800 bill wasn't the exception. It was the pattern.
I've spent more than a decade as a software engineer, building systems for companies with a lot more resources than the small businesses I work with now.

Meet the Founder
I'm Josh Marshall. I've built everything from financial planning algorithms to AI systems for franchises, and I still build my own software on the side, including Grid Getter.
Marshland started as my parent company for that kind of work. Then I saw how much small business owners were paying for the simplest parts of the web, and what they got for it, and I shifted focus: give small business owners a trustworthy, no-nonsense way to get online.
I live with my wife and kids in Phoenix, Arizona. When I'm not building software, I'm gardening, hiking, or trying a new recipe.
