Our Story
Marshland Software is led by an expert developer with 10+ years of experience. I created Marshland Software when I took over hosting from my in-laws, and I was flabbergasted at the price, upselling, and nickel-and-diming involved. They had the simplest of all simple sites, and what they were paying was unbelievable.
I realized how small businesses were being hosed simply because they didn't understand tech, and websites are an absolute necessity for any small business. Even ones operating purely on social media benefit from a simple business card landing page or digital pamphlet. That's why I started Marshland Software — to change that.
What we believe
Technology is a basic requirement for all businesses, so why does it feel so elitist? Websites should be fast, secure, and affordable. Most small businesses don't need complex systems — they need a reliable, attractive website and responsive human support when questions arise. We also share knowledge and build small, practical tools as needed. That's what we provide.
Meet the Founder
I'm Josh Marshall — a software engineer with more than a decade of experience building everything from financial planning algorithms to AI systems for franchises. Over the past year, I've launched three software brands: Resume Pineapple, Grid Getter, and Betcha Jalapeño.
Marshland Software started as my parent company for apps and software I wanted to create. I took my technical knowledge for granted—until I realized the simplest parts of the web were being used to take advantage of small businesses. That's when Marshland shifted focus: to give small business owners a trustworthy, no-nonsense way to get online.
I live with my wife and two kids in Phoenix, Arizona. When I'm not building software, I'm gardening, hiking, or trying a new recipe.
